Angelia Loi, RN, BSN, &
Dr. Peter Liu, DPT
Founders of Nurturly Kids
Nurturly Kids was created by Angelia and Peter with a shared dream of building the kind of place they would want for their own family. Angelia is a registered nurse and early childhood education professional with a background in art and design. She operated the Nurturly Kids family childcare program in San Mateo for four years, cared for children daily, built close family relationships, coordinated support, and led beloved daily arts and crafts experiences.
Peter is a doctor of physical therapy with experience supporting children and adults in home, community, and clinical settings. During the childcare program, he used his physical therapy knowledge to help infants and toddlers build early movement skills including tummy time, rolling, and walking.
Together, they bring experience in nursing, early childhood education, physical therapy, childcare, and parenting to Nurturly Kids.
Dr. Marilyn Aviles, OTD, OTR/L
Lead Pediatric Occupational Therapist
Dr. Marilyn Aviles is a pediatric occupational therapist with more than a decade of experience working with children and families. She earned her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree from Samuel Merritt University and provides services in English and Spanish. Her experience includes sensory processing, self-regulation, motor development, early intervention, daily living skills, and participation in meaningful routines and activities. Her approach is play-based, strengths-focused, and grounded in genuine connection.
